ALERRT Active Shooter Response
Our ALERRT (Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training) program is designed to equip law enforcement officers with the skills necessary to respond effectively to active shooter incidents. Our training courses include: ALERRT Level 1, Active Attack Integrated Response (AAIR), and Solo Officer Rapid Deployment (SORD). Criminal Investigations
Taught by retired FBI special agents who have investigated major cases across the United States, our Criminal Investigations training focuses on turning cold cases into solved cases and converting regular investigations into comprehensive enterprise-level investigations. Participants will learn advanced interview and interrogation techniques, evidence collection methods, and strategies for managing complex investigations. This training is designed to enhance the investigative capabilities of law enforcement officers, helping them build strong cases and address the most challenging criminal activities.
Firearms
Lateralus Group offers comprehensive Firearms Training designed to enhance the skills and proficiency of law enforcement officers. Our program includes firearms qualifications, where we can either augment your department’s principal firearms instructor to help run more officers through the qualification process or conduct complete qualification sessions using only our staff. We train to your agency’s standards and use your range for consistency, ensuring that the training aligns with your operational requirements. All our instructors are TCOLE-certified firearms instructors.
Surveillance
Lateralus Group offers advanced Surveillance Training taught by FBI Special Operations Group (SOG) instructors. This training equips law enforcement personnel with the skills needed to conduct both physical (vehicle and on-foot) and electronic surveillance operations. Participants will learn how to maintain covert surveillance, manage teams, use advanced surveillance technology, and operate in both urban and rural environments. The training emphasizes operational security, discretion, and the ability to gather actionable intelligence without detection.
Source Handling
Our Source Handling training is led by FBI-certified source handlers with extensive experience in managing confidential informants and human intelligence (HUMINT) sources. This training can be scaled up to handle long-term sources by detectives, or down to officers who engage with short-term sources to gather actionable intelligence. We also cover the full Source Recruitment Cycle, including identifying potential sources, conducting initial approaches, and building rapport. Students will learn the critical elements of elicitation, including the importance of pre-meeting prep work. Finally, the training will cover maintaining long-term sources, handoff to another handler, and terminating the relationship. This specialized training equips detectives and officers with the skills to manage human sources safely and effectively, contributing to successful investigations and intelligence operations.
